Ndarakwai Camp is a permanent tented lodge on Ndarakwai Ranch. With views of both Mt. Kilimanjaro and Mt. Meru, the camp is nestled in a protected forest of towering fig, and yellow-barked acacias that line the seasonal Ngare Nairobi River (North) and open, rolling savannah sprinkled with hills.

Ngorongoro Serena Lodge

 

This unique lodge clings to the rim of the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater, the largest and most perfect volcanic crater on Earth. Long and low, the lodge is built from local river stone and camouflaged with indigenous vines. Designed to blend completely into the landscape, it is entirely invisible from the floor of the Crater 600 metres below.

Hugging the contours of the jagged Crater rim, the lodge takes its inspiration from the so-called ‘Cradle of Mankind’, the prehistoric site of Olduvai Gorge, which lies close by. Linked by arched stone passages and timbered decks, its walls are decorated with stylized prehistoric cave paintings and lit by flaring torches. At the stone heart of the lodge burns a glowing fire, which is kept constantly alight. Decorated with cave paintings, the rooms are strung around the Crater rim. Each has its own rock- enclosed balcony, and all enjoy completely uninterrupted views of the volcanic amphitheatre far below.

All our tents are custom made walk in tents using heavy duty canvas ensure a spacious ‘room’ complete with en-suite bathrooms. Tents are tastefully appointed with twin or double beds, crisp linen, warm blankets or duvets, bedside tables, wardrobes and luggage racks make your tent a true ‘home away from home’. Lighting is provided by solar power and your bathroom comes complete with a dressing table with fully plumbed washbasin, lavatory and showers – a new, and often surprising, interpretation of ‘camping’. Hot water is available throughout the day and evening and, like your laundry, morning tea or in fact your every need will be arranged by your Butler allowing for a refreshing wash, shower or maybe a shave on the verandah of your tent.

Buffalo Luxury Camp is a permanent tented lodge featuring 15 luxurious suite tents, as well as substantial main lodge facilities including a dining room, bar, lounge and campfire terrace. The suite tents are two-levels with over 600 square feet of space. There is a charming sitting room with leather couches and comfortable armchairs, along with a writing desk. The raised bedroom features either a king or twin beds. The bathrooms have shower, tubs, two wash basins and unique mirrors and lighting. Mbalageti Serengeti is located in the western corridor of the Serengeti National Park, Tanzania. The Lodge offers a breathtaking 360-degree panorama view of the Serengeti Plain lands and the Mbalageti River, where one of the main attractions is the annual migration of wildebeest and zebra.

Mbalageti is actually a word from the old Maa language. It means wildebeest, but the word is no longer in use; today Mbalageti refers to the seasonal river.

Kirawira Tented Camp

 

This 5-star tented lodge is ideally located in the Serengeti’s Western Corridor; a passageway for the great herds and predators alike. At Kirawira, there are 25 spacious luxury tents, each raised on timber platforms. Rooms include antique Edwardian style mahogany furnishings and luxurious en-suite facilities.

Eastern Serengeti

Lemuta Hill Camp

Lemuta Hill Camp is located on the eastern short grass plains of the Serengeti ecosystem. To the west are the beautiful Gol and Barafu kopjes and to the east are Nasera Rock and the Gol mountains. The camp rests at the beginning of the fabled Gol Mountains. Lemuta hill resides just east of the official border of the Serengeti National Park in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA).

Lemuta Hill Camp is ideally positioned to catch the southward wildebeest migration in December and January when the wildebeest march down the plains to their green season range. Lemuta Hill is in a prime position to access the wildebeest calving grounds in the northern and eastern Ngorongoro Conservation Area in February and March.

Klein’s Camp

 

Located in the heart of Masai territory, in the eastern corridor of the Serengeti, Klein’s camp occupies a truly privileged location. This small, elegant camp consists of ten, classically furnished, luxury cottages – a great place to be located for a Tanzanian safari. With its own private airstrip, Klein’s Camp is easy to access and provides excellent viewing of the wildebeest migration in during the annaual Great Migration.

Southern Serengeti

Lake Masek Tented Camp

Discover exclusive luxury at Lake Masek Luxury Tented Camp situated in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area overlooking Lake Masek. This unique location is witness to the Wildebeest Migration which takes place from December to April each year. There is resident Big 5 game all year round in the area.

Ndutu Lodge

 

Ndutu Safari Lodge is situated in the South-eastern part of the Serengeti ecosystem. Shaded by majestic acacia trees, each of the thirty four cottages, which are built of local materials, has a private verandah facing Lake Ndutu. The Lodge is surrounded by indigenous trees and shrubs which encourage a host of birds and mammals to come right to your front door. Tucked well away from the busy tourist circuit, Ndutu offers peace and tranquillity far from the madding crowd.

Lemala Ndutu Tented Camp

 

Perched on the edge of a permanent marsh, Lemala Ndutu is the ultimate amphitheatre for the wildebeest migration between December and March. 9 suite tents of a very high specification are relocated from the Northern Serengeti to this stunning Ndutu site to capture the boundless drama that accompanies the migration. The migrating herds of over 1.5 million wildebeest and zebra begin to arrive in December and begin calving in February.

Serengeti Savannah Camp

 

The Serengeti Savannah Camp is located in the Southern and Central areas of the Serengeti areas that are reknown for outstanding wildlife encounters. The Serengeti Savannah Camp operates in the ndutu region from December through March and in the Central region from June through October.

The Serengeti Savannah Camp is a semi-permanent tented camp. The camp will move occasionally as determined by the wildlife movement and the season. The SSC is part of a safe, fun, bush experience with the comforts of a private safari camp, but with high cost. The SSC is part comprised of 9 guest tents, a mess tent and facilities for the camp staff. Each guest tent is located apart from the others and is oriented to offer the best views.

The guest tents are spacious and comfortable with an attached bathroom. There is a veranda where you can sit and enjoy the wonderful views of the Serengeti. The beds are king or twin size and the bathroom is quite comfortable with shower, wash basin and an environmentally friendly toilet. The mess tent and lounge area offer a great place to enjoy a cold drink and to meet and mingle with other adventures.

Kusini Tented Camp

 

Sanctuary Kusini offers a Serengeti safari like no other. This is the only permanent camp in this unspoilt and remote part of the Serengeti and every year wildebeest congregate on the camp’s “doorstep”.
