Your cycling tour will begin at the Momella Gate in Arusha National Park at 9:00 am. You will begin with a gradual ascent as you head south of the park along the main dirt road. This area will treat you to sites of baboon families and blue monkeys as you travel along.

After 2km, there will be 1km detour towards the Rest House near Margarete Trappe’s grave. Margarete Trappe, also known as the “Iron Lady”, was one of the early missionaries and was regarded as Africa’s greatest huntress. After hearing the history of Margarete and learning of her impact on the area, you will continue your tour and enter the Kilinga Loop about 5km down the main road.

The loop traverses 7.3km through the thick, lush forest. Due to the canopy cover, the path will be muddy. This will be a challenging, but fun, section of the tour. After completing the Kilinga Loop, you will continue downhill along the main dirt road for about 3km towards the Ngongongare Gate, where your tour will end.
